Richard Childress, JanCom's Vice President and Director of Engineering, gave a presentation on "Reliability and Availability: Electrical Distribution Planning and Design for Data Centers and other Critical Installations" at the PowerSystems World international conference on Power Quality in Long Beach, CA in November. The presentation addressed the concepts of reliability and availability, along with practical approaches to determining and meeting the electrical power needs of a critical facility.

As a part of its on-going effort to stay on the leading edge of technology in its capabilities and tools, JanCom Technologies recently added the Electrical Distribution Systems Analysis (EDSA) Power 2000 software package to its arsenal. This software furthers JanCom's capabilities in performing Short Circuit and Protective Device Coordination Studies, Harmonics Analyses, and other advanced electrical distribution system analysis and design tasks.
